Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture treats a wide variety of health conditions utilizing thin, sterile acupuncture needles that are inserted to mobilize Qi or energy meridians. Acupuncture has been shown to invigorate the function of muscles, nerves, vessels, and organs which help reduce inflammation, scar tissue and promote healing.

Cosmetic Acupuncture: Natural face lift and anti-wrinkle therapy

Cosmetic acupuncture is a safe and effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging. Based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, Cosmetic acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin disposable needles into specific points on the face to lift the skin and improve tone and circulation to the skin. Increasing local circulation to the face stimulates collagen production which allows the reduction of fine lines and gives firmness to the skin for a healthy glow and clear complexion.

CALL OUT: "A 1996 report in the international journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with Cosmetic Acupuncture, 90% had marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects include: The skin becomes delicate, improvement of elasticity of facial muscles, ruddier complexion, and overall rejuvenation".

What are the effects and benefits of 'cosmetic acupuncture'?

~ Relaxes muscle tone
~ Increases circulation, and oxygenates the skin giving it a natural, healthy glow
~ Increases collagen production
~ Tightens the pores,
~ Reduces acne and scarring from acne

~ Reduces puffiness and dark circle under the eyes
~ Stimulates and tones sagging skin

~ Removes toxins and encourages lymphatic drainage

Inserting the very fine needles into specific acupuncture points on the face stimulates increased blood flow and improves circulation. The skin becomes nourished, oxygenated and moisturized. When there is more circulation, the body produces more collagen and creates a natural tightening reaction of the facial muscles. As an added benefit, cosmetic acupuncture can also increase your own natural energy, or “Chi” force, providing you with a complete sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Who can benefit from cosmetic acupuncture?

Men and women who want to delay the process of aging and wants to look and feel younger can start as early as their twenties and thirties as a natural way to prevent aging. People in the forty-plus age range can use this ancient, but effective treatment to turn back the clock to 5-10 years.

Is cosmetic acupuncture painful?

The needles are so thin - the size of a hair strand - the treatment is almost painless. Side effects include a tingling sensation and a complete sensation of relaxation due to the needles. Cosmetic acupuncture is virtually pain-free. While the sterilized, disposable, hair-thin needles are inserted into the meridians and lines of the face and body, you may feel a momentary sting or tingling sensation. This is followed by a complete sense of relaxation. Best of all, the procedure is non-surgical and requires no drugs or unwanted side effects.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend at least 12 sessions that include two treatments per week. We also recommend medical micro-dermabrasion and (red and blue) light vitamin infused treatments to further enhance the “natural face lift”.Treatments will depend on how many fine lines and wrinkles and the status of the skin and age of the person. Patients will see a noticeable difference in their skin in little as one treatment.

Keep in mind that people will respond differently. Outcomes can vary depending on lifestyle, diet and condition prior to treatment. With continued maintenance after the initial course of treatments, ideally once per month, the effects are much longer lasting.

Treatment cost:  $100.00 per treatment

Packages:
3 sessions:  $85.00 per treatment
8 sessions:  $75.00 per treatment
